We saw the pediatric cardiologist this afternoon. The appointment went as well as can be expected. They still think she may have had a strange virus that closely mimiced Kawasaki Disease but, of course, do not know for sure. I figured that her peeling fingers would have made Kawasaki's almost a certainty, but he was the third doctor that has told us that is not necessarily so.
Both her EKG and her echocardiogram were completely, perfectly normal. He said there was no indication that her heart was involved at all. That said, she will have another echo on November 5th and then again 6 months after. He said it is still possible that she could develop an anyuresm between now and November even though there were no signs today. However, I think that is a fairly remote possibility. If the next two checks are normal then he will see her again in 5 years just for follow up and if it is still normal then she will not need to be seen again.
We are feeling so grateful and have joyful hearts. Thank you again for all your concern and prayers. We are blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful friends and family members.

What a relief! Thank God for His grace and mercy upon your family! Hope you all can get some good rest and deep relaxation now that the scare has passed.
