Chop, Chop!

Ava got a haircut today. I have decided to try growing out her bangs (which will be pretty easy since her hair grows REALLY fast). Here's her new 'do (which is basically a new version of an old haircut)! Oh, and her new microphone which our performing girl ADORES!!! I love to hear the sweet songs that come out of her mouth--usually they are Ava originals!

Butterfly Birthday

Miss Ava is 3 and we celebrated with a friend party! It was a Butterfly Party and her guests (Sophie, Elisabeth, Kiana, and Ella) came in full flying attire! We had a lovely afternoon (though it was quite hot)--catching butterflies, decorating wings and playing a flying game with nectar, aka pink lemonade, as the reward! We finished the afternoon off with cupcakes and gifts. Grandpa B, Lulu, Nana and Jim stopped by to with the birthday girl a happy day. Many thanks to my parents who graciously hosted us at their home.

Ava on her flower for the game. They had to fly around and when the music stopped, land on a flower. I drew a flower out of a cup and whoever was on that flower got to come have some nectar with a silly straw...um, I mean proboscis!

Carl and Henry had a good time too. They went to the Little Northfork with my Dad (Henry's first time swimming in a river) and drove the very zippy Mini Cooper all around outside the party!
