Wonders never cease

Elyse is such a joy. She wins awards around here all the time for her unbridled enthusiasm. Because she was much slower to have words, it has been amazing to see her express her thoughts more and more this summer and fall. She is a very self assured young thing and on September 26th she decided she was done wearing diapers. Completely done. She hasn't worn one since and has had amazingly few accidents. I can hardly believe it myself, but I am overjoyed to only have one in diapers now! Yeah Elyse! Inspired by her cousin Gabriel, we had a no more diapers party (the kids insisted on party hats) and even sang a little ditty that went like this: (to the tune of head, shoulders, knees and toes) No more diapers for Elyse, for Elyse, no more diapers for Elyse, for Elyse. We're so proud of you for wearing undies! No more diapers for Elyse, for Elyse! Because you have to have a song when you have cake, right?
